Hartlepool 1/06/2022

We arrived in Hartlepool at 1600, navigated our way through the lock and onto the fuel berth, where we took on 250 litres of diesel. Our fuel consumption has been far less than we originally expected, averaging around 4/5 litres an hour. This made Peters wallet very happy. Hartlepool is certainly not somewhere I would personally choose to holiday, the drone of police sirens is near enough constant. However, the marina itself is pleasant and quiet, it houses some fairly larger commercial vessels, Maud was however one of the prettier boats there. Dinner last night was taken in one of the many harbour side restaurants followed by a few nightcaps aboard. This morning, we lost Toby, who had to return back to Suffolk, leaving myself Harry and Peter for the trip up to Edinburgh. Harry and I sampled the finest Hartlepool cuisine for breakfast... McDonalds sausage and egg Mc Muffin... before heading to the nearest supermarket to re-stock. Sir Micheal Darrington is due aboard later for a drink, before we depart for Edinburgh at around 1500.
