07/07/2022 Quick stop in Dartmouth

Yesterday morning we woke up on our mooring at Salcombe and prepared to set off for Dartmouth, only a 2 hour hop around the corner. Very light winds so a smooth crossing. Arrived in Dartmouth at about 2pm and hooked the boat up to electricity. We had a convenient position in the marina for getting ashore, however it was going to be difficult to get her out of the spot in the morning. We went for a wander and stopped for a pint at "The Ship Inn" before getting the ferry across to Dartmouth town for a late lunch / early supper. After we had eaten we visited the Royal Dartmouth Yacht Club for a sundowner before returning to the boat for an early night.

Lovely morning this morning, topped up the water and Harry cooked breakfast aboard. Noah had a tricky time getting Maud to co-operate in turning against the wind out of the birth but after deciding it may be easier to reverse out it went smoothly - rather him than anyone else!

Off to Torquay now, only about an hour and a half away.

Harry
