06/06/2022 Fort Augustus and now in Loch Oich

The wind got up as we crossed Lochness to about 30knts, oh and by the way we have moved on since the 'live location' shown above, it relies on AIS which isn't designed for inland water ways. We had a lovely evening in Fort Augustus, went out to 'The Boathouse' for supper via "The Bothey" pub for a revolting pint of beer and a Guinness. More walking for Wilson, he did make it both ways though without too much moaning!! Early night and another very good night sleep. No electricity last night so had to use electronics sparingly until engines were fired this morning - the ice is still hard enough for the first G&T though so not too disastrous!

Whilst Noah has proven to be beyond exceptional on the helm, it was decided, by Harry that it might be a good idea for Harry to have a go at manoeuvring the boat today. No major dramas yet - touch wood!! (Not sure Noah so confident!).

We have just been through two locks and through a swing bridge, another gorgeous day, sun and no wind! Currently in Loch Oich with a glass of champagne sitting in directors chairs on the aft deck - bliss!

Catch up later!

(Wilson at the helm now, a bit of a slalom going on!)
